The development kitchen at The Bake Factory is a hub for creativity, organoleptic activities, benchmarking and innovation. Innovating food solutions for our customer base ranges from; producing the very best new pastry products, to providing a hot food go to go solution for high street coffee chain or inventing creative concepts for the travel industry. The technical environment of our BRC A rated facilities maintains consistency and quality, but it’s in the kitchen that we experiment with flavour profiles, new ingredients and allow the concepts to fly.

Converting ideas such as a slow-cooked Bengali Beef Curry or a range of miniature Mexican Tacos into a reality comes down to recording the recipes in detail and cost-engineering. We have a dynamic and professional team of NPD specialists to translate our innovation into a practical solution to suit any clients needs.

The Bake FactoryTM creates delicious on-board eating experiences for land, sea and air passengers. We manufacture everything under one roof, from the idea for a product through to its testing and manufacture. As well as producing core products under our own signature brand we are also proud to collaborate and manufacture for partner brands. We have a growing family of brands in our portfolio and also some brand alliances whom we produce for under license. The Bake Factory approach to collaboration is always based first and foremost on producing quality products and delivering professional customer service.




Mexican food and its flavours have an enduring popularity. To bring extra edge to our products, we’ve teamed up with Old El Paso to deliver wraps, empanadas and tacos packed full of flavour. The Bake Factory has also developed a range of gourmet ready meals to complement the iconic Mexican kits that Old El Paso produce. We have a hot food to go range and some delicious Mexican Grilled Cheese Toasties.





The new wave of Caribbean food inspired by Levi Roots Smokehouse and Reggae Reggae sauces, presented as patties, wraps and ready to serve entrees and hot pots. Using Levi’s recipes has meant that the increase popularity of Caribbean food has been taken to a new level. Working closely with Levi we have developed a range of products that all carry the Levi Roots seal of approval. The complex layers of Jerk spices and sweetness more than make up for the loss of taste you can experience at altitude.




The Bake Factory has developed a range of gourmet Quiche products for Costa based on our own consumer insight.

We conducted research into the high street and food service sector and worked with Costa to develop a premium range of quiches that met the demands of high spend, hot food for certain day parts. Reflecting key growth driver of improved taste and quality. The use of quality cheese and butter shortcrust pastry has been tested and rolled out across the estate.


We started working on NPD recipes based on findings from our VYPR market research and Mintel Food Reports. The resulting products that we’ve launched include a strong vegetarian profile alongside a more traditional protein based product. The Quiche Lorraine uses smoked bacon and mature cheddar for an authentic flavour and our vegetarian product is a combination of roasted red pepper and mature cheddar.



 Crantock started making our delicious Cornish pasties from a small butcher’s shop in the coastal village of Crantock nearly 30 years ago. Over time the bakery we are now located in more modern and spacious premises. Whilst many of Crantock products and recipes have remained faithful to the original ones, we are always developing new ideas in response to constantly changing customer tastes and demands. We are proud to represent an authentic taste of Cornwall inspired by the past but looking to the future.



The Posh Pasty Co TM was founded in 2013 by chef and TV presenter James Strawbridge and his wife Holly. Initially they made all their delicious hand-crafted products themselves from their smallholding but soon realised that as the business grew they would need to look for somewhere bigger. It was an obvious next step for James to work with a successful local bakery and continue using the finest Cornish ingredients. The Bake Factory now manufacture all James’ Posh Pasty Co products to the original recipes plus some exciting new collaborations. For the trademark golden pastry Posh use local Cornish butter. Sustainability is at the heart of their business and all their suppliers are as local as possible.

Our Kitchen 24 brand has been designed for hot food available all day long. Specialising in breakfast products and gourmet conienvince food. We also have a range of hot pots perfect for rail, sea or in flight catering geared towards the buy on board sector. Kitchen 24 is comfort food designed by our chefs – slow cooked to be enjoyed on the move.
